Secondly, I apologize to anyone who has been trying to contact me. I have been avoiding DA and FA for nearly a month as every time I come here... I get depressed. Since I have started college, I haven't been able to draw. I mean both art block and.. literally not being able to draw. I am forgetting how to. And I don't have the time to practise. Every time I come here and see others art, it depresses me.

Some of you may know that I suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), and even though I'm being treated, it's still affecting me. I feel drained, hopeless and my inspiration is crushed. I get like this every year from September/October - Febuary. For this reason.. I think I'm unsuitable as a trading artist. I am going to pernamently close my commissions. I take too long on them and stress myself over them too much. And I think this affects the final quality of the artwork.

When I feel inclined, I will still do originals, and maybe sell them, but I will not take commissions. There are a few people who I will still accept commissions off, close friends, but apart from that, I'm afraid this is it.

To anyone waiting on artwork - If you are waiting on a commission, and I have not started, you have the choice of canceling it, and I will refund your money, or waiting. If I have already started it, I will complete it as soon as I can in my spare time, but I refuse to when my art block is this bad, or it will end up rather crappy.

To people waiting on trade-halfs, I will complete your trades, but as emphasized, trades are not my priority.

I am terribly, terribly sorry for this, but this is a choice. Who knows, in the future some time I may clear up my life and be happy to take on commissions again. But right now it is just not possible.

So, it's been a while since I did a contest. Mainly because the prizes take a lot of time. And also, Anyone who I owe contest prizes, PLEASE NOTE ME even if you are already on my list. Include what you wanted in the list, please.

Seasonal Contest 2008
The theme of this contest will be seasonal, as in the holiday of Halloween. This means themes you may want to use are:

Autumn/Fall
Halloween
Samhain
Horror/gore
Anything else you can come up with

In an echo to a previous contest I did, the entry MUST include the colour RED and a BIRD of some description (this can be an animal, logo, symbol and does NOT have to be the focus of the image, unless you want it to be.

You MUST also include one of the following characters, either with one of your own, or alone, it's up to you.

Bran - Gryphon form (Crow x Wolf) - [link]

Gryphon!Bran DOES count as a bird. The bird part of him can be drawn like a crow or raven, OR like a hawk/eagle. Up to the artist.

You can do full-colour, inks, sketches, in whatever medium you like. This includes sculpture, painting, ANYTHING.

Prizes
1st - Watercolour commission (up to two characters)
2nd - Inked sketch (up to two characters)
3rd - Inked sketch (one character only)

All participants will recieve a one character sketch for taking part

Preferences in art
I tend to prefer drawing non-anthro/natural animals, but do anthro also. I will also draw pet portraits, fantasy animals, and will draw any species. Needless to say, I will not draw adult art as prizes, but will allow for tasteful nudity.

Judging
The entries will be judged on concept, originality, idea and NOT talent. This gives an equal chance to everyone. Anyone who does not include one of the above essential criteria, will not be able to enter their piece.

You are allowed to enter more than one piece, if you want to.

Completion
When you have completed your piece, please note me with 'Contest' in the subject title. Thank you and good luck!
